A correction’s useful details
A useful correction identifies the page path, the exact passage and the relevant paper. A study title, DOI or PubMed identifier helps distinguish a factual mistake from a disagreement about interpretation. The reading list supplies the sources used in these essays.
For a numerical correction, the population, unit and outcome are as useful as the number. For an interpretation, the distinction at issue matters: retained copper, a response in cultured cells or a visible skin finding. Evidence that clarifies those relationships would be welcome.
